These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of Concrete Direct (the customer mobile application and website at concretedirect.uk), together the "Customer Platform".
By registering, logging in, or placing a request through the Customer Platform, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Customer Platform.
1. About the service
Concrete Direct is a digital platform that helps users request quotes and place orders for ready-mix concrete and related delivery services from independent suppliers ("Sellers").
Cement Industries Ltd. operates the Customer Platform. Unless we explicitly state otherwise, we are not the producer or seller of concrete and do not guarantee delivery ourselves. Contract for supply and delivery is formed between you and the relevant Seller once a quote is accepted and any required payment conditions are met.
Information in the platform (including AI-assisted order forms and Quick Tips) is guidance only. You remain responsible for choosing the correct specification, volume, access requirements, and compliance with building or engineering needs.
2. Who may use the Customer Platform
The Customer Platform is intended for business and private users aged 18 or over who wish to order concrete for lawful purposes in the United Kingdom.
You may register as a Private or Business customer. You must provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information (including company details where applicable).
Your account may remain restricted until you complete your profile, request activation, and we or our administrators set your account to Active. Until then, ordering, invoices, chat, and other features may be unavailable.
We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, provide false information, or misuse the platform.
3. Account, authentication, and security
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account.
You may sign in using email and password and, where available, Google Sign-In. Third-party sign-in is subject to that provider's terms as well.
You must notify us promptly at contact@cementindustries.co.uk if you suspect unauthorised access.
4. Service area and subscriptions
Your ability to place orders for delivery to certain addresses depends on your subscription plan (for example Free 50, Premium 100, Premium 200, or nationwide coverage), which defines your Service Area from your registered account address.
Paid subscription plans extend your Service Area beyond the free plan. This allows you to request and receive concrete deliveries over a wider operational area for your business or project addresses, subject to Seller availability within that area.
Delivery addresses must fall within your active Service Area. If an address is outside your plan, you may need to upgrade your subscription before completing an order.
Subscription fees, billing cycles (monthly or yearly), and plan changes are shown in the app. By submitting a subscription order or upgrade request, you agree to pay applicable fees and accept related subscription documents or invoices issued through the platform.
You may move from a paid plan to the free plan at any time through the platform. A change from a paid package to the free package does not take effect immediately. You keep your current paid plan and Service Area until the end of the paid billing period already shown on your account. The free plan starts on the first day of the next billing period — that is, the day after your current paid period ends.
For example, if your paid plan is valid until 5 February 2026 and you select the free plan on 1 February 2026, you remain on the paid plan with its wider Service Area until 5 February 2026 inclusive, and the free plan begins on 6 February 2026.
If you select the free plan only after your current paid period has already ended — for example, your paid plan ended on 5 February 2026 and you submit the change on 6 February 2026 — and you did not switch to the free plan before that date, your paid subscription is treated as renewed for the next billing period under these Terms. You must pay the applicable subscription fee for that new period at the prices shown in the app. A change to the free plan requested at that stage takes effect only at the end of that new paid period. For a yearly plan renewed on 5 February 2026, the free plan would begin on 6 February 2027, unless a different effective date is shown on your account or subscription documents.
Before the end of each paid billing period, we will notify you that your paid subscription period is approaching its renewal date. If you take no action and do not switch to the free plan before the current paid period ends, your paid subscription will continue automatically for the next billing period on the same cycle as your current plan: monthly subscriptions renew for a further month; yearly subscriptions renew for a further year. Applicable fees will be charged or invoiced according to your selected billing cycle and the subscription documents issued through the platform.
Subscription features do not guarantee availability of Sellers or delivery slots in all locations within your Service Area.
5. Placing orders and requests for quotation
You may submit requests through Form AI (step-by-step order wizard), live chat with support, message or email form, phone or callback request, and, on the website, guest order or embedded widget flows where offered.
Submitting a request is an invitation to quote (RFQ), not a binding order, until you accept a quote and any required payment or preconditions are satisfied.
You must provide accurate delivery address (including map location where requested), site access details, contact phone, required concrete specification, volume, schedule, and any pump or unloading requirements.
Before submitting certain orders, you may be required to confirm declarations including adequate parking or unloading access, unloading time limits, responsibility for disposal of returned or unused concrete and related charges, acceptance of prepayment where required, notice period for delivery changes, and consent to processing of personal data for order fulfilment.
Draft orders may be saved locally on your device; you are responsible for reviewing and submitting the final order.
As the platform operator, Cement Industries Ltd. does not accept responsibility for orders that you submit with incorrect, incomplete, or misleading information (including specification, volume, access details, or delivery requirements), or for any loss, damage, cost, or delay arising from such errors. You remain responsible for reviewing your order before submission and for the accuracy of the information you provide.
6. Quotes, acceptance, and contract formation
Sellers or platform administrators may issue quotes or proformas based on your request. Quotes may be time-limited and subject to availability of materials, plant capacity, and delivery routes.
A binding supply arrangement arises when you accept the quote and satisfy payment requirements stated on the proforma or invoice.
We may refuse or cancel requests that are incomplete, outside your Service Area, unsafe, unlawful, or technically unfeasible.
7. Pricing and payment
Prices are shown in GBP unless stated otherwise.
Payment methods may include bank transfer (sort code, account number, or IBAN shown on documents) and, where enabled, online payment via a third-party payment link.
Prepayment may be required before delivery. Failure to pay on time may result in cancellation, rescheduling fees, or suspension of further orders.
You are responsible for any bank charges, currency conversion, or third-party payment fees unless we state otherwise.
Invoices and proformas are available in the Invoices section of the app and may be downloaded as PDF.
8. Delivery, site obligations, and changes
Delivery dates and times are estimates unless expressly confirmed as fixed.
You must ensure safe site access for delivery vehicles, pumps, and personnel, and provide an on-site contact.
If access, waiting time, or site conditions cause delay or additional work, extra charges may apply (including returned concrete, waiting time, or re-delivery).
You must give reasonable notice for changes or cancellations as stated in the order flow or on your documents (for example at least one business day where specified).
Risk in the concrete typically passes in accordance with your agreement with the Seller; the platform does not alter statutory or contractual allocation unless explicitly stated on accepted documents.
9. Cancellations, delays, and force majeure
Cancellations after acceptance may incur charges depending on production or dispatch status and Seller terms reflected in your quote or invoice.
Neither we nor Sellers are liable for failure or delay caused by events outside reasonable control (including weather, traffic, plant breakdown, labour shortages, or regulatory action).
10. Communications and notifications
We may contact you by email, in-app notifications, push notifications (mobile app), chat, or phone about quotes, payments, delivery updates, account status, and service messages.
You can export chat conversations where the feature is available. Support communications may be retained for quality, dispute resolution, and legal compliance.
11. Acceptable use
You must not:
- misuse the platform or attempt unauthorised access,
- submit false or misleading orders,
- use the platform for unlawful purposes,
- interfere with other users, Sellers, or platform operations,
- scrape, reverse engineer, or automate access except as we permit.
12. Intellectual property
The Customer Platform, branding, software, and content are owned by or licensed to Cement Industries Ltd. You receive a limited, non-exclusive licence to use the platform for its intended purpose.
You retain ownership of content you submit but grant us a licence to use it to operate the service, process orders, and communicate with Sellers.
13. Privacy and data protection
Our processing of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy at https://concretedirect.uk/privacy.
By using the Customer Platform, you acknowledge that order and location data may be shared with Sellers and service providers as needed to fulfil your request.
14. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The Customer Platform is provided "as is" to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or that a Seller will accept every request.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cement Industries Ltd. shall not be liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, or loss of business arising from use of the platform.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.
Where we are not the supplying party, claims relating to concrete quality, quantity, or delivery performance should be directed to the relevant Seller in the first instance, without prejudice to your statutory rights.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted at https://concretedirect.uk/terms with a revised date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
16. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections where applicable.
